International Dance Day

In 1982,  International Dance Day  was first  celebrated  marking the birthday of Jean-Georges Noverre (1727-1810), the creator of modern ballet.  International Dance Day  was started to spread the message of the benefits of  dance ,  celebrate dance  and bring people together. The  International Dance  Committee (CDI, in relation to  UNESCO ) established the  International Dance Day  in 1982 and its date of  April 29 th   was  chosen to commemorate the birthday of Jean-Georges Noverre (1727-1810), the creator of modern ballet. ...
