Makar Sankranti is an important festival for all the Hindus. This festival gives us a chance to meet our loved ones. It marks the transition of the Sun into Capricorn sign and it's a day when people all over India observe fasting and offer a special prayer at sunrise.
Makar sankranti is a festival which comes in the month of January or February in India. It is celebrated with great enthusiasm and pomp. On this day, we are gifted with a full moon night. This festival usually falls in mid January because it almost coincides with the traditional harvest season in the month of Magh which is dependable for the economy of farmers and people working in the agricultural sector.
