Diwali

Diwali is a festival of lights mainly celebrated by Hindus. The festival usually lasts five days and celebrated during the Hindu Lunisolar month Kartika. One of the most popular festivals of Hinduism, Diwali symbolizes the spiritual "victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance".

It is celebrated all over India as a festival symbolizing the triumph of light over darkness. In North Indian traditions of Diwali, it is celebrated to honour the victory of Lord Rama over King Ravana and his return back home after an exile of 14 years.
